There are times when you are testing skis that you just know that you are going to love a ski just but looking at. The Atomic Vantage 100 CTI Skis was one of these skis and boy did it deliver! Typically you will not finding me getting excited about a ski with metal or at 100mm in the waist as that is just not my skiing style, however the Atomic Vantage 100 CTI is a game changer of a ski. The Line Prophet 98 was always the ski I would go to for skiers looking for a versatile All-Mountain Ski. I knew that 95% of the people that bought that ski would love it and I was disappointed when
Line went away from that ski as the Supernatural 100 is just not the same. The all new 2016 Atomic Vantage 100 CTI Skis is now going to be my go to All Mountain for people who want a ski around 100mm in the waist. It is so much lighter and livelier than that of the Volkl Mantra and pretty much any other ski in this category. The Atomic Vantage 100 CTI is a ski that when you get on it you don’t want to take them off. They take so little effort and with an 18m turn radius they will make any turn shape you want and with out even having to think about it. I had these skis going 60+mph and they were stable thanks to the Ti Backbone and when I wanted to scrub speed it was easy to do. You do not have to power this ski, it is not work like that of the Mantra. Thanks to the forgiving shovel they were awesome in both bumps and in the trees. The skis may be light but they do not get deflected like you would expect and that is thanks to both the Carbon Mesh used along with the Ti Backbone. There is nothing bad I can say about this ski I loved everything about it from its perfect shape to the very well designed graphic. One thing I will say about all of the Atomic Vantage Series skis is to not ski them short, these skis ski short so be sure to stay on the longer side when ordering.
For your height and weight you could go down to the shorter ski if that is what you wish. You are not a hard charger so it would not be that big of a deal for you to drop down in size. For what you are talking about though this ski would work better for you than the others. Your first thoughts are often the best and in this case they are. Enforcer, Q98 and Auto 102 are all great skis but this ski is kind of like combination of the Enforcer and 102. It’s a more versatile ski.
Would you recommend for telemark?
I am 1,74 m , so I was thinking of the 172cm

It really comes down to height and weight if you are over 180lbs we would suggest the 180cm as these do ski very short. I fyou are under 180lbs you could do the 172cm.

Nice review! I want to buy the Vantage 100 cti (2017 model), because I think it’s good for the piste and in the powder. I’m also not sure which length I should buy. I’m a good skier (5’9″/176 cm, 137lbs/62 kg). Which length would you recommend? 172 cm or 180 cm? Sorry for my grammar I’m from Germany.

Hi Max,
Excellent English no worries at all. For your height and weight you can do either length. If you are aggressive go with the 180cm but if you are only semi-aggressive go with the 172cm length. If your weight was closer to 70kg we would say 180cm easily but at 62KG you can still do the 172cm easily.

I’m not sure if this ski is the perfect one for me. Most of the time I’m skiing on slopes but I want a ski which is also good in the powder. Should I go with the 90 cti. How do you think about it?

Honestly it would be a great choice for you as that is what this ski is built for front side skiing with the occasional powder day. If you are looking for something more playful then you may want to look at the Volkl 90Eight or Head Collective 105 but for what you are describing this would be a great choice.

Love what I’m reading about these Vantage CTI 100’s, and just when I thought I was going to pull the trigger on the Nordica E100’s. Question, I’m strong intermediate, not a hard charger. Like to make smaller turns and looking for something quick, playful at times. Ski Tahoe exclusively. I’m 5’11” 220 lbs. Is ther Vantage CTI 100 in 180 a good ski for me?

From everything you described you would certainly want the Vantage 100 and if you like a short turning ski you can do it in the 180cm length. It is an excellent choice for everything that you describe.
